Many of you have asked how I’ve edited some of my photos and I wanted to let you know that I have been working very hard this summer with my sister building a new website with bunches of photography and digital scrapbooking tutorials. This is where I will be posting all of my “how-to’s” and tricks. It should be up and ready within the next few weeks, so keep an eye out for that!

It’s time for another My Favorite Things! We recently had our summer camping trip and one of my favorite things about camping is the night skies. If you live in the city, you just don’t get to see the stars in all their glory. But out in the mountains, away from all the lights, you get these gorgeous views. You can actually see the Milky Way! I love how my camera captured the different colors of the stars. In the bottom picture, in the middle right, you can see the constellation Cassiopeia. They are the five bright stars that form a ‘W’ shape.
Someday I would love to get a telescope and get some cool pictures through it! Astronomy has been a love of mine for a very long time. I used to know when all the meteor showers and eclipses were, what constellations were out at what time of year. Since I had my girls I’ve kind of let my hobby go, but I would love to get into it again. I found out that our city has an astronomical society so I think I’m going to sign my family up! Autumn has enjoyed looking at the stars with me and I think she might love it just as much as I do!

I’m so excited to share this picture this week at I Heart Faces. The theme is “At the Beach” and I thought this one would be perfect! This is one my all-time absolute favorite pictures of my little sweetie, Autumn. She had been playing in the sand and water and popped up at just the right to time for us to capture this gorgeous shot. Playing in the sand in very serious business for this little girl!
