I Heart Faces has a weekly feature called Fix-It Friday where they post a picture for you to play around with. I decided to try it out this week, here is what I came up with!
This is the original, straight out of the camera picture from El from Through My Own Lens… He is such a cutie!
Here is my edit…
I used Photoshop CS3 for my processing. Here is roughly what I did…
1. Reduced the noise.
2. Desaturated a little.
3. Created a sepia layer and set it to soft light. This got rid of the red tones in his skin and boosted the contrast.
4. Sharpened his eyes a teeny bit and added in some soft catchlights. They were already there a little, so I enhanced them to make his eyes pop a bit more.
5. Burned the outside edges.
