I’m Tackling Meal Planning!

Aaron and I talked about budgets last night and I now I feel inspired to start planning our meals. I’m usually a see what happens during the day and maybe start thinking about dinner at 5 o’clock! Not good at all for having good meals, and often we will just go get something or I’ll have Aaron pick up something on the way home.

It’s really silly considering I have a good stock of food here at home. I love to find great sales and stock up when the prices are low. So I really need to utilize what I already have and save some money! I went searching for meal planning systems and ran across Becky Higgins’ blog and her meal planning worksheet. It is so cute and perfect for what I need! I went looking around her site a little and found her cute font, so I decided to use it on my worksheet! I adapted it to what I needed and I love how it turned out!

I love this! I seriously need to start meal planning. I am often unmotivated by the pickiness of the eaters in my house, but I think if I made a plan and stuck to it, it would make my life so much easier! Thanks for the inspiration!

Hi Michelle,

Meal planning is a great idea. At Springpad we’ve made it easy to organize recipes and meal plans within the context of our larger personal organizer tool. On the site (http://springpadit.com) you can easily save any recipe from any website with 1 click. Then you can personalize the recipes with your own notes, photos or videos, and share them with friends and family. In our meal planner app, you can easily import any of your recipes into a calendar which then generates a complete shopping list of ingredients. You can either print the list or access it from your mobile phone. Hope this helps!

This is a good form. I have weekly meal plans and printable grocery lists on my blog. I’ve saved so much money and time… when I do them that is! LOL! I’ve slacked off big time, but plan to get back into them this year for sure. I have 15 weeks of meals so far if you want to check them out. http://www.livinglocurto.com/weekly-meal-plans/

Also, congrats for being a contributor at I Heart Faces. I really love the tutorials you have done for us so far. Can’t wait to see what you come up with next. Thanks so much!
