Well, this is my last post of this year! It’s a little hard to believe that tomorrow is 2010! I am very excited for the new year though. I’ll be starting my Project 365 tomorrow and working on my 2010 Goals.
I’ve been inspired by many blogging friends to post my best photos of 2009. It was fun looking back through the year and seeing how my photogrpahy has changed, the stages my post-processing has gone through! I’m pretty confident I can say that my post-processing skills have improved! I had to laugh at some of the things I did then. I’m sure in a year I’ll be giggling at what I’m doing now! It’s all part of the learning process and I hope I never stop learning!
Here are my Best Photos of 2009, and some blog posts in case you missed them, starting at the beginning of the year. I have to warn you, there’s a lot! It was hard narrowing it down!
February – I catch my girls playing my makeup!

April – I start to realize I can take photos of things other than my girls!

April – We took a trip to Salt Lake City. This is still one of my favorite photos.

May – I discover that I love photographing flowers!

May – More flowers!

June – We had an awesome thunderstorm and the clouds were insane!

June – My raspberries start to ripen. These are the first three of the season.

June – I take Autumn out for my first “photo shoot.”

June – Our first camping trip of the summer. I’m experimenting with sunflare.

July – I start experimenting with food photography with my new 50mm 1.4 lens.

July – I try out extension tubes for the first time. I fall in love with macro photography!

August – We go to the races and I find a gorgeous sunset.

September – I go on a photography walk in search of silhouettes.

October – We love Autumn-time! I capture some of the best action photos in my photography experience.

October – I really work on my post-processing. I try new things. I love the results!

October – I capture the most gorgeous photo of my daughter. It is absolutely my favorite of her.

November – My husband catches a steelhead and I get to photograph it!

December – My sister gets married and I’m her wedding photographer.

December – Thanks to my sister and her wedding, I get to photograph flowers in the winter!

And that completes 2009! I am so excited to see what 2010 brings! What are some of your favorite photos of 2009? Leave me a link to your blog or Flickr, I’d love to come over and check them out!

October is my favorite, hands down.
April is very cool–did you use an “Orton effect” to over saturate and create the dreamy look?
Rick´s last blog post ..Augmented Ambient
Thanks Rick! I added a hue/saturation layer and upped the saturation to boost the colors. Then I made a duplicate layer of the photo and applied a gaussian blur. I hadn’t heard of the Orton effect so I looked it up and it’s a bit similar to what I did.
I just saw your blog mentioned at iffles.com. You have some amazing work, I enjoyed looking at your flowers. I too love textures. (:
These are great shots! I really love the shots of the flowers! They are just so intimate and make me think of happy memories! Wow! Thanks for sharing your work!
