It’s Sweet Shot Tuesday time again! I’ve been so busy the last few weeks, I haven’t been able to participate. But this week I just had to! We went camping this weekend and I played around with my new Lensbaby and got some awesome shots. This is one of my favorites, it says “Summer” perfectly!

Every few weeks, The Pioneer Woman posts photography assignments with different themes. This past week her theme was “Bugs!” Bugs normally creep me out, but there are a few that are actually quite pretty! I remembered that I had “caught” a couple of ladybugs on the I Heart Faces Photo Walk I led a couple weeks ago, so I decided to add it to the photo assignment Flickr group. We went camping Friday and Saturday, and of course, one of the first things I do when we got home was to check my “computer stuff” and I saw that my ladybugs photo was in her fourth group! This is such a neat thing, Ree herself goes through all the entries and chooses her favorites!

And… here is the photo… cute huh? ;)

I Heart Faces Photo Walk Across America

by Michelle on June 14, 2010

Last Saturday, June 5th, I had the wonderful opportunity to lead the I Heart Faces Photo Walk Across America in Boise! We had 17 fabulous photographers in our group and we had so much fun! I got to meet some fun blogging friends I’ve gotten to know through my activity in I Heart Faces. We are so lucky to have such a great group of photographers in the area!

I’ve got lots of fun photos so get ready! We started at the Rose Garden. It was so fun seeing the photographers at work! Here is Stephanie R.

My sister, Misti, getting up close to the roses.

One of my favorite things to photograph…flowers! I love the little piece of fuzz stuck to the bud.

This is a tower at the top of a set of historic stairs in the park.

Shauna, Michelle P., and Misti strolling down the greenbelt.

This is one of the original roads in the park. It’s lined with trees on both sides and being in the middle of it kind of takes you back in time. I love history and historic things. :) Shot with my Lensbaby.

Here’s a little part of our group. We have this cute little amphitheater on campus and it was a perect spot for a little group photo! From the top, clockwise: Michelle P., Sunny, Mary, me, David, Shawna, and Shauna.

There were flowers galore along our route! Yay for flowers!! :) The light was hitting these little guys so perfect.

Some clover. I love pretty weeds!

We were so luck we got into the Bronco stadium! This was literally the last day we could have gotten in…thanks Angie and Amy for your perfect timing! This is Brittany getting a great shot of the blue!

Sunny also getting down for a great shot! We photographers sure like to get down and dirty, don’t we! I had wet, muddy knees by the time were done, along with a few others!

Stephanie R. capturing the coolest shot of all of us jumping in the air!

The north end of the stadium with the foothills in the background.

We ended up at Chili’s for lunch. I ordered a turkey sandwich with some sort of pepper bread. It was SO tasty!

David and Shauna checking out some photos.

Brittany and Stpehanie B. checking out photos.

And David and Stephanie R. checking out some photos! We had a great time seeing other’s pictures and talking about our equipment. I think I convinced some that they needed extension tubes and a Lensbaby! Sorry guys! :)

A shot of Mary with my Lensbaby. This thing is so cool!

And here’s the whole group!

I had such a great time on our photo walk and I met some awesome new people! Check back tomorrow for some more photos! I’ll be featuring some of the awesome photos from our awesome photographers!
