Today I go in my back yard looking for stars to photograph. I find a dragonfly leaf formation instead! I love it!

This is the mess that is my flower bed at my front door. I apologise for the gross, wet, dead leaves but my creativity is out the window today with a migraine.

Yay! I’m so happy with myself that I’ve made 11 days into Project 365 withour missing a day or getting bored with it! In fact, it’s had the opposite effect… I can’t wait to go take a picture! I dream about photo ideas, I can’t stop thinking about photo ideas! This is just so much fun!
As you can probably tell from a lot of my photos, I love texture and playing around with processing in Photoshop! I don’t care if it doesn’t look “real.” What can I say… I’m an artist, I can’t stay in the box!
I’ve been sitting on an idea for a sparkle-y texture for a few months (since I love fantasy and fairies and stuff like that!) and a few weeks ago I decided to get to work on it. I wanted it to look all cute like pixie dust… but, I am not good at randomly placing things so they look good! My sister is though! She’s a graphic designer and is so good at that kind of stuff! So I roped her into helping me get my idea into reality! She created all the little dots for me and I finished it off with the texture and little “star” sparkles. I am so happy with the way it turned out! And I’m so thankful to Misti for helping me out!
I’m working on some more colors and variety, so keep your eyes open! They’ll be at OpenScrapbook sometime in the near future!

Well, this is my last post of this year! It’s a little hard to believe that tomorrow is 2010! I am very excited for the new year though. I’ll be starting my Project 365 tomorrow and working on my 2010 Goals.
I’ve been inspired by many blogging friends to post my best photos of 2009. It was fun looking back through the year and seeing how my photogrpahy has changed, the stages my post-processing has gone through! I’m pretty confident I can say that my post-processing skills have improved! I had to laugh at some of the things I did then. I’m sure in a year I’ll be giggling at what I’m doing now! It’s all part of the learning process and I hope I never stop learning!
Here are my Best Photos of 2009, and some blog posts in case you missed them, starting at the beginning of the year. I have to warn you, there’s a lot! It was hard narrowing it down!
February – I catch my girls playing my makeup!

April – I start to realize I can take photos of things other than my girls!

April – We took a trip to Salt Lake City. This is still one of my favorite photos.
