What Makes My Day

Inspiration comes in many forms and there are a lot of things that can go into making one day more special than another. However, the thing I have noticed is that there are certain things that make my days exceptional, even when I haven’t experienced something truly great. I am also quite certain that if you think about it, there are probably things in your world that make life worth waking up for. For that reason, and because I like to think about the special things in my life, I am here to tell you a little about what makes my day great, every day.

My Family

family funI love every part of my family. My parents are great people who have always brought a smile to my face. My kids are treasures that I cannot wait to talk to every day. The people in my life have shaped every part of who I am and the things I have accomplished. I wake up every morning excited knowing that today we will grow together as people and as a family. Along with my family, I also include the laughter that comes from real friendship. I have very few friends, but when we all get together, it is guaranteed to be a good time for everyone.

Nature’s Beauty

hiking nature trailsPerhaps it is because of my love of photography or maybe it is just because of the pure beauty behind it, but I love nature. Trees and flowers in bloom, a light rain on a warm summer day, and snowflakes falling slowly to the ground all ensure that there is something worth seeing. I wake up in the morning and open windows to allow light and breezes to come inside the home. I take my kids to the park where they can play or we go on nature hikes to find the treasures that are hidden in the woods.

My Job

workingNot everyone is able to say that they love their job, but I do. If you do not love your job, life is not as much fun. Whether it is blogging or photography or being a homemaker, I love it all. I’ve had a lot of different jobs in my life. Not all of them were great, but there were great aspects of them in my opinion. Even during the times when I worked fast food, I enjoyed having the opportunity to meet new people. Even if you hate your job, I encourage you to take a long look at it and try to find one thing that is positive about it. Doing so will make it easier to enjoy that part of your day as well.
