B-day Delights

As my birthday draws near, I am excited to announce that there is a lot of exciting things going on in my world. The kids are going to spend the weekend with their grandma and my husband and I are going to enjoy a date night. Date nights are something that we wish we could enjoy more often, but usually the timing is off a little. It is usually a plan that somehow gets messed up occasionally. So, what are we planning to do this weekend beyond date night? I know you are curious.

Saturday’s Plans

The plans for Saturday are simple. We love walking along the beach and collecting shells. Even though it is cold outside, we can still enjoy the nature that we have so close by. It is relaxing and beautiful. I’m sure that we will have a lot of photo opportunities which will appeal to both of us.

Saturday night is date night and we will be enjoying dinner with an ocean view. It is my most favorite restaurant, but we rarely get to go there since we have kids. The price of it is not cheap and kids, although well behaved, may not always want to sit as long as we do. Most of the time, there are no kids at this place. It is inviting to adults who want quiet, which describes us perfectly.

Sunday’s B-day Plans

On Sunday, we plan to have our kids and other family members come over to the house. A nice dinner for everyone, a little cake, and with any luck at all; a good time for everyone. It was offered that we could go to either of our parents’ house for this; but I like the idea of having everyone at my house on my special day. It is peaceful and relaxing at home and I personally feel that is what will make this a great birthday for me.
